Hi everyone - I've got around 5k individual excel files (single sheet)

id - 1
name - xyz
exec - mr. president
etc.
etc.
etc.

I'd like to take these files and combine them into a single sheet with columns

ID | Name
1 XYZ
2 ABC
5000 | done

Any advice - no experience with Macros I'm afraid :( Thanks in advance!

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
you have not explained what data are you combining onto one worksheet?

your example almost indicates that you are capturing filenames, but it is not stated clearly.

The individual sheets are all simple 1-worksheet files with 2 columns (text and numbers / same order ) - which look similar to as i explained originally:

....1.............2
A "ID"... .......1
B "name"..... xyz
C
...
Z

Thanks!
