Hi,
I am working on a project. I have two files, one called data and one called Master. My data file has two columns, one column is a label (AAA-001, AAA-002, etc. etc.). The second column is called comments, and each cell identities different items that AAA-0001 contains, or that AAA-0002 contains. For example, row 2... B2: AAA-0001 B3: LCS(X4), LPR(X4). My master excel has a column for the AAA number, and a column for each type of item that it could contain. I want my master file to automatically populate the data file into it. So, for the first row of data in the master file, it will say AAA-0001, it would have a 4 under LCS and a 4 under LPR.

Something to note: The AAA numbers in the data file aren't numeric. There are some missing... for example, it may skip from AAA-55 to AAA-103 because the ones in between don't exist.

I would love to attach pictures or files of what I am trying to explain but I am not sure how.

Thanks!
