My wife is working on a spreadsheet from work that has the dates formatted wrong and I can not figure out how to fix it. They are dumping the information through their database and the date is pulling 2010/10/10 but formatting the cells wont work. Can anybody help. Thanks

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
Maybe try trimming and converting to a value. Say in cell A1 you have 2010/10/10 then in cell B1 enter:
Code:
=VALUE(TRIM(A1))
Format B1 as date with whatever date format you want. There may also be hidden characters with the imported data, but have a quick try with this.
