Hi,

I made an Excel file with activex drop down & Text boxes. Some of them are hidden and appear only when other comboboxes have certain values. This all works fine. Except when I try to save my file. It saves as a .xlm file.

If I save it without any hidden comboboxes/textboxes/rows; it works fine.
When I save it with certain comboboxes/textboxes and rows hidden; it won't reopen. If I try to reopen it, it says there is unreadable content and asks me if I want to recover it. When I click yes, all my activex comboboxes and textboxes disappear.

Anybody knows what's going wrong? Do I need to save it differently?

Please help...

Welcome to the forum.

I assume you mean you are saving as .xlsm rather than .xlm?

Which version and build of Office are you using?

Hi,

Yes I mean .xlsm.. sorry. I'm using Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010. Version 14.0.7173.5000 (32-bit)...

I have the same version and I can't replicate that. Can you put a file on a sharing site like Dropbox or OneDrive for me to have a look at?
