Hi
I open an old spreadsheet and for some reason excel will not drag formulas. I drag a formula and the value for the first answer drag through all the cells. Also, when I deleted a row of cells, a value refering to the cells stayed the same like the cells hadn't been deleted. It seems like my excel is in a fixed mode. Any suggestions.

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Hello

Choose Tools, Options, Calculation and set it to Automatic.

Or press F9 to calculate in Manual mode (copies of formulas are not resolved until you do this). In Manual mode Calculate appears in the Status Bar if it needs to be done.
