Is there a way in excel, you can use multiple filters to narrow down data, for example say you are looking to show events but wanted to narrow them down by three categories (example below)

Category one – Date (shows lists of dates available)

Category two – Country (Shows the countries available with the dates chosen from filter one)

Category three – Region (Shows the regions available with the dates from filter one and Country from filter chosen)

Each category will have a list of data under it so once the data has been applied from the category and all three filters have been applied you will be left with the list of events that meet the criteria under the 3 filters chosen, i hope this makes sense and is this possible?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
If each category is in its own column, then you can use the autofilter feature to do what you have described.

Hi, normally, if you place your cursor (active cell) onto your table or columns of data, you can hit "Ctrl + Shift+L" to switch on filters. Then just filter each column exactly as you say and you'll end up with the data you want ?

Filters in Excel works exactly as you described it..

Hit them again to turn Filters OFF.

cheers
