Hello,

I am trying to calculate the amount of service someone has.

I need 4 different formulas that will tell me:

a. # years and # months
b. # years and # days
c. # months
d. # days

In a. i need to show that 01/01/2007 - 28/02/2007 is 2 whole months ie month start to month end.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
Thanks for the prompt reply

I have played around a little with datedif but it seems to all give me the difference between 2 dates.

I need to calculate whole months, whole days etc

ie if someone joins 01/09/2007 and leaves 31/10/2007 then this would be 2 whole months. Also if someone joins 15/09/2007 and leaves 31/10/2007 this would be 1 month.
