I have created a column which has in-cell drop-down menu referring to another list. I used Data Validation to do this. It worked. but today when I opened up the workbook again, the dropdown button has disappeared. All the settings are the same. i can not figure out why. please help. Thanks!

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
Hi there

Frequent problem, at least up to Excel2000 that I use. Sometimes you can get the list dropdown arrow back by juggling around with window minimising, but most times you just have to close down Excel and reopen it.

Thanks. I ended up copy the whole sheets to another blank workbook. and it works now. it seems something /the link was broken in the original sheet.
