I have one worksheet ("Sheet 1") with a list of names in column A, and another worksheet ("Sheet 2") with a list of names in column A and a list of years respective to the date they have participated in an event, either 2012 or 2013. In Sheet 1, I need one column to check if that person was in an event in 2012, and another column to check if they were in an event in 2013. "Yes" if they were in the event that year, "No" if they were not. It gets kinda tricky because most people were in multiple events each year, so they may have 5 dates respective to their name, both in 2012 and 2013. I've tried various vlookup, index, and match combinations but none seem to work. Help?
