this is what i want to do, if you imagine 2 columns 1 with only 3 different options (words) the other with a sales figure and another spreadsheet with exchage rates again relating to only 3 different options(EUR,GBP,USD) - there are only 2 variables and 3 different simple equations one of which only changes weekly.

i can obviously anchor with $ but i would like it to use a particular formula for each option when the currency/sales figure/exchange rates are inputed and change the sales figure from the relevant currency into the one i want.

also i use a different exchange rate each week so if it was anchored to the same box then if i were to change the rate it would change all the other figures so maybe a way by which after a week the value is pushed down a row but the box is still linked and the other figures do not change?? you are the experts....please help... can this be done?? i would be very grateful for anyone that can help

Welcome to the Board!

You might get a start with Data-->Validation-->Allow-->List-->Source-->EUR,GBP,USD to allow you to make your three selections then use VLOOKUP to return the relevant exchange rate.

But some more detailed information would be good.

Hope that helps,
