Help need with Countif formula

Hi

I have the data in excel as follows

Column A B
Row 1 x x
Row 2 x
Row 3 x x
Row 4 x
Row 5 x
Row 6 x x

I want to count total number of rows that have x in both column. for eg in above eg 3 rows have x in both column.

Could anyone please help with the formula? I have to count this for 20 sheets with over 100 rows in each sheet.

Try this

=COUNTIF(A1:A9,"xx")

You would of course want to include your range.
