Help needed with few formulas

Hi. I have to prepare a spreadsheet that will do some calculations with data I get. I started to do that few days ago, but unfortunately I am Excel newbie and I need help with few things.

1.
I have two columns - one for player and the second for his time. It looks like this:
Player Time
Z 12.03
A 11.23
B 10.05
C 10.82
D 10.14
Z 11.87
B 10.11
D 10.25
C 11.30
...
I would like to have third column Round with round's number. Not all players are going to appear in all rounds and in the same order, excepting player Z. He's kind of a tester and he will appear at the beggining of every round. So in third column it should be propably counted how many times player Z has apperaed, but I can't write suitable formula.

2.
The second problem:
In a row I have 10 results and I'd like to sum them, but without two worst scores (greatest results).

3.
I would like to use IF statement but with extra condition. I have three rows - player, best result and disqualification.
P BR Disq
A 11.05 NO
B 10.05 NO
C 10.24 NO
D 10.14 YES
...
I want to make a row that says YES if player had result better than i.e. 10.50 AND was not disqualified, otherwise NO.

Thanks for help,
Hagan.

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
1.

In Round column:
=COUNTIF(\$A\$1:A1,"Z")

2. H1 =SUM(A1:J1)-LARGE(A1:J1,1)-LARGE(A1:J1,2)

3.

In new column
=IF(A1<10.5,IF(A2="YES","NO","YES"),"NO")
