this may seem like a very simple question, but as I've been browsing the messages on mr. excel, I've seen responses with a code. If I want to use that code, how do I use it in excel? Do I create a macro? I know, I know, it's pathetic how naive I am with excel.

please, please help a girl out!

Excel Facts

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
most of the time the code is a macro that is put into a module. But other times it goes into the worksheet. It just depends on the code and what it is doing. My suggestion is try it and see and a blank test file.

Press ALT + F11 to open the Visual Basic Editor. Insert > Module. Come back here, select the code you want, press CTRL+C to copy it, go back to the VBE editor and press CTRL+V to paste it in.
