Hello,

How can I multiply the following 2 matrices using mmult? I tried, but excel returns #value!

0.1 0.1 0.1 0.1

2.00 5.00 7.00 9.00
5.00 6.00 8.00 9.00
2.00 8.00 4.00 1.00
4.00 5.00 1.00 8.00
4.00 8.00 9.00 1.00

Thanks for any help!!

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.
Hi Chi
Welcome to the board

That is not a valid operation. As you may recall from algebra, you can only multiply 2 matrixes if the number of columns of the first is equal to the number of rows of the second.

The first matrix has 4 columns and the second 5 rows.

Hope this helps
