Good afternoon,
Looking for a bit of help here today and any indications as to a possible formula for a problem im having. Im trying to create a quote engine for my brother in law and what im proposing is to have one document with two active sheets. Sheet one will be the quote engine and sheet two will be the sheet which holds the information.
I am looking to have the 1st sheet where he could put for example, Labour Hours, Decking, Wood etc etc all the materials he would need for a project. He would put this in say column A, B would have the number of units required, C would have the total cost for that unit (which would be taken from sheet two and then multiplied by the number of units required).
For example sheet one would look like this:
Labour Hours 4 £59.96
Decking 4 £39.96
Stones 5 9.95
Total £109.87
And sheet two would look like:
Decking per square meter £9.99
Labour Hours £14.99
Stones £1.99
Concrete £4.99
Sorry I could not add it in via a table however in sheet one there should be 3 rows and in sheet two, two rows.
What im looking for is a formula which would pull over the price from sheet 2 multiply by the number of units on sheet 1 to create the total figure, not all materials would be used in every project to sheet one would need to be able to link to the relevant field in sheet two as and when required.
Im not sure if this is possible but any help is welcomed.
Thanks
Andrew
