Hi, there. I am trying to copy a formula from a cell on my excel sheet and then drag it across in the columns. When I do that, it adds up on the columns and I want the formula to add to the rows.

In this workbook on, sheet FeedBack, I am trying to calculate values on cell B5 to AP5, by referring to the values from cell c11 to c41. The formula i am using in cell b5 is =(C11/3)*0.475+($D$11). Now when i drag this formula until AP5, instead of taking values from c11:c41 it takes values from c11:aq5.
So is there anyway to do this without adding the formula manually in every cell??

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi - sounds like you are trying to perform a 'transpose'.

Above your calculation cell (B4 would be 1 row above B5 in your example), put in the number 1. Then in cell C4 use B4 + 1 and fill across columns to AP5.

Then in cell B5 replace C11 with offset($C$11, B$4-1, 0). Fill across your columns.

The offset function will move down 1 row for every column you move across.
