Hi All. Ok, this is kinda complex, well it is in my eyes anyway.

I have an excel spreadsheet with 2 tabs. What i need 2 do in one tab there is all this raw data. And it goes horizontally. In column J, there is a job number, and this usually goes down 5 rows. In column 0, there are different fields being, typesetting and formatting, revisions, account service, PDFs, Colour Print.
In the other tab, I am trying to put these fields vertical. What I am needing is that when the job number is looked up, it will also reference column 0 and put that figure in. The total figure is in column S in the second Tab. And the figure has to go in column N in the first tab.

Bear in mind that the First row on both tabs is a heading row.

Hope someone can help. Let me know if you require more information.

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Hello chrisaustralia
I'm not sure I get the full picture of what you're doing.
Any way you can use colo's html maker and post a screen shot of some raw data and
then another of what you want it to look like when it's done?

Ok, let me try this another way...

On tab 2, Cells J2:J7 contain the number ZU08000. on same tab, cells O2:O7 contain blank, typesetting and formatting, revisions, PDF, colour print..

On Tab 1, C2 = ZU08000. and N2 has the typesetting and formatting column. Curently when I do a Vlookup, it looks up C2, but rreturns the first value in Tab 2 under that number. I need it to return the ZU0800, but needs to return the Typesetting and format value, which the dollar figure for this is in colum S3 in Tab 2.

Hope this helps.

emailing the wb to me won't help others searching through here in the future.
(Although if it ends up coming to that we can go that route, but once I get the idea of what
you're doing I'm sure we can come up with a solution.)

Check out the link at the bottom of this screen:
Colo's HTML Maker utility for displaying your Excel Worksheet on the board.

OK, see if these look (functionally) anywhere near what you're working with.
Does anything I've done come close to helping?
If not, can you describe how my layout should be to more closely resemble yours?
