Help.....Want to repair a corrupt excel file

I have a excel file which is corrupt. The message show" The file may be read only, or you may be trying to access a read-only location. Or the server the document is stored on may not be responding". I want to know is it can recovery it or not. I have use many software and still can't fix it.
The file size is around 4.5MB.

If you can try it in 2002, it can recover ones that 97 and 2000 won't even open. If you don't want to buy the upgrade, download the viewer. Check out KB article Q142117 for additional ideas.

If you send it to me, I'll try to open it. Sometimes round-tripping it through XML or SYLK will get rid of the corrupted stuff. Then I'll send them all back to you.

Welcome to the board

In addition to Mark´s generous answer and assistant I just want add that if You fail and Mark don´t have any success You may try to opening it with StarOffice.

Pls let us know the outcome of it and if You need help with opening it in StarOffice.

Ermm you file is too big to sent me my end wount excet it, can you zip it and tell me the file size then ill see if i can send somewhere else and ill try to BUST it open, break the password,
