Hello,
I would like to use a formula which will look in one column on sheet 1 and if a suppliers name appears, lets say CT Suppliers , I then want it to look in another column on sheet 1 for the monetary value entered under CT Suppliers, lets say £20 ,I then want all these totals to be added together and the result then put into a table on sheet 2.

Excel Facts

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Have you tried Sumif if you use this the range will be the data you want to use, the critea is the suppliers name just select a cell that has it, then the Sum range will be the column that has the values you want to total.
