I need help with a formula please:
I need to average cells if others contains date
ex: b4 , f4, g4 has date, then I need to average b5,f5,g5.
b5,f5,g5 contains percentages. if there is no date it contains 0 and I do not need to include if there is no date.
Thanks in advance!

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
excel 2010 and I screwed that up!

I need to average cells if others contains date
ex: b4 , f4, o4 has date, then I need to average c4,g4,p4.
c4,g4,p4 contains percentages. if there is no date it contains 0 and I do not need to include if there is no date.
one column may or may not contain a date, the next column contains a percent. I only need to average the columns with percent if the prior column contains a date

total change of plan.
need to average if prior cell contains a #, not a date. same theory. b4, g4 o4 have a number, then I need to average c4, h4, p4

What is the error message you are getting? Let's sort that out first, as it may be relevant to your new scenario.

We really need to see a representative sample of your data.

That's not an error message. What is the error message? Please provide us with some properly representative sample data to work with.
