I need help with the following formula:

=IF('[QC Plan Guardrail Nov 2021.xlsx]QC Summary Cable'!AG555="",'[QC Plan Guardrail Nov 2021.xlsx]QC Summary Cable'!I555,"")
I want the recipient cell of this formula to reflect the value of I555 only when the alpha character "Y" appears in cell AG555

Help is greatly appreciated

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
Wouldn't that just mean changing the first "" to "Y", i.e.
=IF('[QC Plan Guardrail Nov 2021.xlsx]QC Summary Cable'!AG555="Y",'[QC Plan Guardrail Nov 2021.xlsx]QC Summary Cable'!I555,"")

Thank you ever so much... I've actually tried that very thing...or thought I did with negative results. It does work.

Thanks again
