I am using Excel web component and the problem is to transfer the contents of the spreadsheet to the server, process it on the server (like updating the data to a database)and send it back to the client (when requested). ie) the user enter some values to the spreadsheet and can update it to the database , log-on later and see the data also.

One way could be Exporting the contents into a xls file (binary file format) on the client side and send it to the server. Then use (Excel Reader or POI to process it)

I am looking looking for any code samples that will do this.

any help is appreciated.

thanks

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
