Help with Excel Lists.

Hi,

Ok my problem is i trying to find out if possible to use a list which will pull information about the item selected. For example i have the below information in Sheet 1 and in Sheet 2 i have a list whith the car makes in A1. Now when i select the car make i want the color & make to appear also but in different cells on Sheet 2.

Example:


A / B / C

make / color / model

bmw / silver / S300
vw / red / rabbit
mercedes / black / S400

Welcome to the board.

Look at the VLOOKUP Function..

On Sheet2, put in B1

=VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet1!A:C,2,False)

That will bring back the color

And in C1

=VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet1!A:C,3,False)
will bring back the model

Hmmm i tried those but says i put too many arguments for that funciton.
