Help with IF formula

I need help converting this to a formula for excel 2003. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

The cell I need to reference for pay rate is B43.

If pay rate(b43) is less than 27.63 then multilply by 1.5. Multiply that total by 1.18. If the pay rate(B43) in greater than or equal to 27.63 than multiply it by 1.18.

Does this do what you want?

=IF(B43<27.63,1.5,1)*B43*1.18
