I have an excel spreadsheet that updates automatically (DDE)

Every hour I want to copy 12 cells of data into a column so by the end of the day I will have 8 columns with each 12 cells showing me the data at different times of the day.

I've been reading about the OnTime method, but I really got lost...

Any help?

What I did so far:

I have the 12 cells updating through DDE (A1:A12)
I created columns C (08:00), D (09:00).... etc. until the end of the day

Can anyone please help me how to copy the data from column A into columns C and further at the times specified at the top of the column?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
It sounds like you need to create a macro to execute your copy and pasting. You can then use the OnTime command within a separate macro that calls the other macro. You can also have that other macro (the one that does the copying) execute the OnTime macro at the end of the process to tee it up for the next hour's run.

Refer to a posting by Raver entitled:
"Run macro every 15 minutes from the top of the hour?"

It is similar to your request and should point you in the right direction hopefully.
