Help with pivot chart

I have a pivot table for which I hid the column totals but am showing the row totals. I changed the row totals under table settings to average so it's giving me an average by month for each row.

When I create a pivot chart it picks up everything but this last column which is averaging my rows. If I copy/paste the pivot table somewhere else on the worksheet and create a chart it lets me use that last column.

Anyone know what is going on?

Here's an example of the data:
Date Category SubCategory Qty
January 08 Fruits apple 4
January 08 Vegetables broccolli 5
January 08 Dairy milk 6
February 08 Meat sirloin 2
February 08 Fruit bananas 3
March 08 Fruit grapes 4
March 08 Dairy milk 5
March 08 Vegetables broccolli 6
February 08 Vegetables corn 3

Thanks!
