I have copied and pasted a macro below which does not work, I am trying to teach myself and can't work out where I am going wrong!

This is the marco, copied and pasted:-

Sub SaveAsA2()

thePath = P:\Buyers Files\Saved Buyers Worksheets\
thisFile = Range("A2").Value & "-" & Format(Date, "mm-dd-yyyy")
fullFilename = thePath & thisFile

ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs fullFilename, 52

End Sub

Still says
Compile error:
Syntax error

Would anybody be prepared to test this for me?

Excel Facts

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
You need to put the path inside quotes as it's a string
VBA Code:
 thePath = "P:\Buyers Files\Saved Buyers Worksheets\"

Thanks never thought of that! I changed that now that doesn't get highlighted red so I understand where I went wrong. Now I get a:

Run-time error "1004

Method 'SaveAs' of object'_Workbook' failed
