Help with taking certain data out of a cell

Ok guys, i got a range of data and i only want to extract the part upto the first space.

eg:
MHB2200 061006
FMC2405 061006
V0330 051006
V0320 051006
V0300 051006
SWD8102 051006
SWD7500 051006

As you can see the length of the first section varies.

Can anyone help me???

hei,

if the data is in cell B7 try this formula is C7
=LEFT(B7;FIND(" ";B7;1)-1)

possible that you have to replace ; with ,

Another option would be to use Data>TextToColumns with space as a delimiter.
