In column B I have a list of times in h:mm:ss format and in column C I have a list of times in the same format. In column D I have the difference between the 2; Column B minus Column C.

If column C is less it gives me the difference, but if column C is more oft gives me an error?

Also in Column E I want to add the difference percentage, meaning column C is X% more or X% less than Column B but don’t know how.

convert everything to a number first, with VALUE()... then you can do whatever arithmetic

also % difference is an odd way to think about time (i guess you mean the interval), since time has no beginning :) but in Excel's case, it starts at Jan 1 1900 so your % differences will be small... make sure you consider the underlying values of dates and adjust for it... i think the current dates value is in the 40,000s (guessing)
