 HOPEFULLY SOMEONE CAN HELP. its hard to explain what i need .so forgive my rambling
i have 2 work sheets (lets name them W1 and W2)
lets say in W1 i have 4 collums (something)(date)(color)(yadda)
i need a formula in W2 that can count how many (RED) on (1/1/2006)
if that makes any sence to anyone

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.

In W2:
=SUMPRODUCT((W1!B3:B10="1/1/2006")*(W1!C3:C10="RED"))

SUMPRODUCT(('2006'!C3:300="1/1/2006")*('2006'!E3:E300="F/A"))

should be

SUMPRODUCT(('2006'!C3:C300="1/1/2006")*('2006'!E3:E300="F/A"))

you were missing the second C if that is exactly what you typed in.
