Hidden maximize/minimze/close buttons

I was just given a template with none of the aforemntioned. When opening the file there is no prompt for macros or vba code.

How can I get these buttons back?

I take it these buttons are of the workbook, not the application?

Sounds like the user has protected the workbook with the Windows option checked ( Tools | Protection | Protect Workbook ).

To get the buttons back for this workbook, unprotect the workbook.
