Good morning everyone,
I run windows 10, Excel 2019. I have an excel worksheet with approximately 16 charts shown in
this sheet comprised of data within the workbook. However, I have one sheet that shows a chart,
which I did not create, and this chart is only visible in print preview, and if I attempt to change the
background color, the chart can be viewed in a preview of the color change only. Once the color
actually changes, it is gone again. There is no protection on the sheet, the object is not hidden, I
have broken any links associated (as I am aware). Would like to see if anyone has any knowledge of
this situation from previous experience. I do not mind sharing the sheet if someone would like
to take a look. I am not a newbie to excel, just to this forum. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Respectfully,
Tony

Hi & welcome to MrExcel.
I will happily take a look at it, if you can put the file onto a share site such as OneDrive, DropBox, Google Drive, mark the file for sharing & then post the link you are given to the thread.

Thanks Fluff.
I have uploaded a sample of the file to Google Drive. The area in question is in range A808:G823.

Thanks

Unfortunately that is asking me to sign in.
You need to mark the file for sharing, at which point you should get a link & it's that link you need to copy/paste here.

Fluff,
It looks like because of our business email, our google drive is restricted. I would need your e-mail address to add you if possible.
I do not mind doing so, but it is up to you if you wish to share that information with me.

Thanks,

If you right click the file & select "Get shareable link" then change Restricted to "Anyone one with link" then click Copy link
That should allow anyone to access it.

Our system does not allow that option. It is restricted completely with no option to change to anyone with the link.

In that case that's a problem, as links need to be posted to the thread for all members to access. Sharing files privately is not allowed.

Ok, thanks for that, you have two charts in that area.
With that sheet active run this using F8 to step through line by line
VBA Code:
Sub chk()
   Dim x As Variant

   For Each x In ActiveSheet.ChartObjects
      x.Select
   Next x
End Sub
This will select each chart in turn.
