Hide formulas in formula bar and cell

Is there a way I can hide formulas from showing in a cell & formula bar?

I have a ActiveX Combo Box control button on the worksheet that depending on what text is entered into the box, the resulting data below the box in the worksheet automatically changes.

I have tried to lock/protect the sheet etc which works, but then it locks the combo box and prevents me from entering anything into it.

Is there a way I can hide all formulas in the worksheet, yet still be able to use the combo box freely?

Have you tried protecting individual formulas rather than the whole sheet? You can just right click any cell and select protection to protect that cell only
