Hello,

I'm using =text(A2,"dddd") to return the day of the week in cell B2. When cells in column A are blank it returns the result of Saturday. Is there a way for column B to return blank cells when column A has blank cells?

=IF(ISBLANK(A2),"",TEXT(A2,"dddd"))

Thanks for the help, but now I'm experiencing something I haven't encountered before, the cell is displaying the formula not the result.

Hi Jeff

Is the formula cell formatted as Text? You need to change it back (eg to General) and possibly may have to re-enter the formula (by hitting F2 and pressing Enter again).
