Microsoft has added a new feature referred to as, "Microsoft Search". When this is on, the search box takes up space on the Title bar. It is possible to collapse the search box in Excel options. It would be nice if the feature could be hidden or collapsed using VBA. It doesn't appear to be part of the Office 2019 Fluent User Interface Control Identifiers.

Any help would appreciated.

How to change case of text in Excel?
Use =UPPER() for upper case, =LOWER() for lower case, and =PROPER() for proper case. PROPER won't capitalize second c in Mccartney
Hello,

Have you tried to right-click on the search box ...

Right clicking does not expose anything that appears to be helpful.

Try file > Options > General > and check "Collapse the Microsoft search box"

If you read my original post, you will se that I am aware of this method of collapsing the search box. I am looking for a way of hiding or collapsing the Microsoft Search box using VBA or modifying the Ribbon XML.

Thanks for the link. I am aware of the new Custom UI. What I need is the control to modify to hide or collapse the new Microsoft Search Feature.
