Hello Board,

I have a problem, I the ability to hide and unhide a column using a macro. I also need to password protect the button assigned to the macro. Can this be done and can someone supply me with the code? I tried recording it, but that didnt' work out so well. Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Try like this with a button from the Controls toolbar

Code:
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
If InputBox("Enter password") <> "password" Then Exit Sub
Columns("B").Hidden = True
End Sub

Hello again Peter, thanks for your reply. I did as you said, but I keep getting a message that says "Compile Error - Expected End Sub" and the end sub is definately there. Not sure what's wrong. thanks again
