hide/unhide issue

I am having a really weird problem I have never come across before. I have a sheet that I hide rows on and then protect and send to others. To update info I unprotect and unhide. I just did this and the hidden cells are still hidden - I cannot get them to unhide. I hide other rows a unhide them but I can get to my original data. Any ideas??

Not sure if this will make sense but...It seems as thou all the rows are reduced to nothing. I can drag the cells one by one to see them but cannot see them all or change them all at once by highlighting rows and changing.

does the hide row code make the rows 0 height
