Is there a way to program in excel so that one could click on a box like A1 and have a drop box appear and then disappear when another area of the form is clicked?

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Use the Data Validation, then Allow Lists only. You will have to provide this list in another are on the sheet.

The list for Datavalidation may also be placed on another sheet in the workbook. The requirement is to use a name for the range instead of directly refer to the cellrange :)

Kind regards,
