how can i make passwords keyed into a user form display as dots or asteriks?

Excel Facts

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
My guess is, you probbaly mean, in a TextBox in a userform. In the properties window for that textbox, find the "PasswordChar" property, and enter the astersik or dash character or whatever character you were thinking of, for masking the actual characters being entered as seen by the user.
