Hi,

I have a list of numbers from 1 to 400 which identify a range of items that I sell. On a monthly basis I look at the sales of these to a particular customer and therefore then have two columns of numbers. The master 1-400 and the ones bought by the customer which are never all of these. Is it possible to show which numbers they have not used either in a seperate column or to merge the two columns together and insert zeros into the missing rows.
Thanks.

Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
Can't you create a query that counts these items and groups by month?

If an item wasn't sold in a month then the count should be blank.

You could use use this query for a crosstab query with the months as column fields, items as row fields and count of items as data.
