I'm trying to get one cell to highlight based on which selection from the validation table is selected in another cell.

In Cell A1, I have "Choose One" to populate based on another cell.
In Cell B1, I have a validation table with Yes or No as the selections to choose from.

I want Cell B1 to highlight if A1 says "Choose One"...so other users know where to choose an answer.

Thanks!

Hello there

Formula is =IF(A1="Chosen One", TRUE)

Select cell B1.
Format>ConditionalFormatting>Formula Is:
=$A1="Choose One"

Choose the background colour you want, click OK.

You can now PasteSpecial>Formats down the column if you wish to use it for other cells as well.
