Is there a way to highlight a cell in a range (Say D1:J35) if the same value appears in a list (A:A). I would have to use something like conditional formatting as I can't use VBA. The highlight can be the same for all in the range as long as the value is the same in the list. Thank you in advance. I'm using Excel 2003 and conditional formatting only gives me three conditions and I will need a lot more.

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
I don't have xl2003, but I believe you should be able to do what you describe with just one CF Rule:
=NOT(ISNA(MATCH(D1,$A:$A,0)))
