hi ALL.

Am lost in this.

To simplify, given 2 long non- contiguous columns A & B only in only one ws and using Conditional formatting approach, am lost on how to proceed with highlighting identical entries.

Eg
colum A = A2:A55000
column B = B2:B234000

thanks

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
Perhaps you could just select both ranges, then use the highlight duplicate values rule from the conditional formatting editor?

the purpose being identifying any Coln A entry that matches an entry in Coln B, you mean that?

You asked for identical entries, it will highlight any entry that appears more than once, that could be 2 entries in column A, 2 entries in column B, or 1 entry in each column.

If that is not what you want then you need to be clearer with your question.
