I have large ranges which I need to cut and paste. It takes ages highlighting the cells in the range using the mouse.

Grateful if you can advise me of a short cut that will highlight a large range - say for example A1:Z1000 so that I can cut and paste it.

Thank you

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Name the range Using Formulas > Name Manager. Then, to select, click anywhere within the range and click on the name box top left of the working area and select the given name.

Assuming your range has data in every cell, you might mean Ctrl+Shift+up or down arrow when starting from the bottom or top cells respectively.

I think CTRL+A select all cells in current area
and for 2nd time select all cells in the sheet

That's a good one. I've only ever used Ctrl+A for selecting everything. Didn't realise it has two stages if you are within a data range.

One way is to simply type the range in to the box above cell A1, e.g. just type A1:Z1000

Now press ENTER and that range is selected
