Hello there,

This should be something ease but for some reason it's not working. In my spreadsheet i have two sheets, Sheet1 where i want the rows to highlight and Sheet2 where i created a tag name ( list ) called "test".
I'm using conditional formatting to do that, it works only when i type a word in the cell, when i put a number, which is what i want, it doesn't work.

in conditional formatting i tried ="test" ; =$A1="test" and nothing seems to work, the only time that it worked was when i changed to =$A1="b", and then i typed "b" in the cell and it worked.

What am i doing wrong?

Last used cell?
Press Ctrl+End to move to what Excel thinks is the last used cell.
Try this:

1. Select Sheet1
2. Select the cells where you want to apply the CF
3. Put the formula in CF without quotes
=A1=test

I suppose in Sheet2 some cell has the named range: test

Thanks for the reply.
I renamed the list to localizar.
Put the formula in Cf without quotes it worked, but only for the first number of the list. What seems to be the problem?
I had to add "$" because otherwise it would only highlight the cel.

Ok, i got it, searched a little bit on the internet and i found the solution to my problem.

=MATCH($A1, List, 0)

MATCH did the work with the list. THanks.

I'm glad to hear that it already works for you.
