Highlighting and locking rows

Hello,

Is there a way that a row can be highlighted/change colour (eg. white to red) and locked once the user has left that row.

The user would need to amend more than one cell in the row.

The sheet will be shared by many users - I want to create a sheet, that as it is amended is locked as each row is updated.

Is this possible?

Cheers

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
If the user changes any cell on any row (on a particular sheet), you want that row highlighted and locked? Just making sure I understood you right.

Taz,

This is correct - bare in mind that the sheet in question would be shared by more then one user.

Taz,

No - each user does not enter a password but only one 'master' spreadsheet is updated.
