how can i say: A1000 but use the variable instead of number?

can i do:

Range("A"&"x").select

???

Sure, just take the quotes off the x

Range("A" & x)

or

Cells(x, 1)
Cells(x. "A")

Dim X As Integer
X = 1000
Range("A" & X).Select

goes to A1000
