How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
You would just put a command button on your sheet, and assign a Macro to that button.

The things you want to do should be fairly simple and straightforward, and you can get a lot of that code simply by using the Macro Recorder and manually peforming the actions you want to happen.

Here is a write-up on how to assign your code to a button. I recommend using the Form Control, and not the ActiveX controls.
