If all you want to do is start up a separate independent instance of XL, no need for VBA. Just double-click the (or select from the Start menu) the XL program.
That said, you may want to examine why these files cannot co-exist in the same instance of XL. There are very -- very -- few instances where one needs a separate instance of XL for each file.
