Hi all,

How do I get data from many existing pivot tables and combine them to make a new dynamic table?

many thanks.

OK, you won't get the pivot table into that final format.

The trick is to organise the data so you can extract it properly
What does the raw data table look like?

I'd have thought that you would have these fields:

Patient
Gender
Age
Diabetes duration
Type
Weight
BMI
Follow up

On that assumption I used 3 pivots to get the data.

First PT:
All of these in DATA area
Patient (Count)
Age (Average)
Duration (Average)
Weight (Average)
BMI (Average)

Put Type in the Column area

Second PT:
Copy and paste first PT, change summary calc from Average to Stdevp

Third PT:
Gender in Row
Type in Column
Patient in Data, formatted in Field Settings > Options as % of Column

From this you can link a formatted table to the appropriate cells. If you have XP or higher (2000 may also do it), creating the link also creates the GETPIVOTDATA function.
